It is my objective in managing lands to maintain the integrity of the forest and to protect the capacity of the forest for self-renewal, while striving to fulfill landowner objectives. We focus first on the trees that are to remain in the forest to protect ecological functions and future timber quality; then we consider the trees that are harvested. Caring about the details ensures that each landowner’s forest is treated with the respect it deserves.
Wolf River Forestry provides ecologically-oriented forest management services and promotes the long-term health and quality of timber and non-timber resources on private, non-industrial lands in northeastern Wisconsin. With over 25 years of forest management experience, Wolf River Forestry has extensive experience in northern states silviculture and timber management, private and public land management issues, and forest management planning. Wolf River Forestry is a Forestry Technical Service Provider for NRCS and the EQIP program. Wolf River Forestry also works as a Lead Auditor for the Rainforest Alliance program for Forest Stewardship Council forest management certification in the Lake States, Appalachian, and Northeastern US on private and county/state/federal lands.
